Adrian Voutyras | Product Team Lead

> At Frontiers since 2014

Born in France with Greek origins, raised in Spain, working for a Swiss company, and speaking bad English but good enough to be understood. On average I spend 2 months (85k min) per year listening to music. I started a university degree in astronomy and it lasted only 3 months... Music maniac, beat "producer", martial "artist", skater, runner, piano player, proud father of 2 little demons, beer lover, sci-fi nerd... Ah, and I almost forgot: sometimes I design and code stuff.

Andrew Grant | Junior Product Designer

> At Frontiers since 2022

I am an obsessive organizer who likes to group, sort, and order. I still find myself inspired by chaos, randomness, and chance. I began studying product design three years ago after several years in education. I am currently interested in design systems and how they can be monitored and optimized. I am a collector of old film reels, spices, and, most recently, plants. I am fascinated by the ways sound can be visualized, deep ocean life, and the intersection between art and science—happiest when I walk in nature, around live music, or cook new foods with friends.

Antonio Perez | Senior Motion Designer

> At Frontiers since 2021

I was born and raised in a small town in the south of Spain, and with the most common Spanish first and last name, which has caused me more than one problem in airports. I love animals and nature, so my dream was to work as a documentary cameraman as a child. However, I discovered that I was too lazy, so video editing was more appropriate. I consider myself an optimistic and fun person. Coming from an advertising background, I believe that making science more accessible is much more satisfying than convincing people to buy a car.

Barbara Carcangiu | Senior Product Designer

> At Frontiers since 2021

I am a passionate designer who moved from Sardinia to Madrid to develop herself professionally, and suddenly… 8 years have passed. I like spending my free time reading, running, cooking, gardening, and learning new things. I have a powerful memory, and I can remember even the details of the most useless things. My mission in the design field is to make things understandable and clear. My biggest dream is that Cmd+Z works in real life too.

Born in Kosovo and raised in Switzerland. I’ve spent the 1st half of my life drawing, a quarter looking for a goal in life, and the rest designing. Skilled at eating food, not so skilled at cooking. One of my most impressive skills: eating half a kilo of ice cream in one sitting! Open-minded and curious about other cultures, I shazam music from Indian and Lebanese restaurants.

An aspiring morning person obsessed with quirky typefaces, vivid gradients, and spicy foods. My name is short for Contradiction: I can run a marathon one day and the next day spend 8 hours in a row scrolling on my phone, there’s no in-between. Also, I still haven’t quite figured out how to explain to people what graphic design is, so my Asian mom still thinks I do paintings for a living.

> At Frontiers since 2016

Graphic designer at heart, leader at the core. I’m a freak for complex projects and I love a good challenge. On my time off I like to go for a hike in the mountains or a bouldering session with the family. But nothing makes me happier than a good conversation with interesting people and some artisanal beer (IPA).

Ivan Santamaria | Product Designer Manager

> At Frontiers since 2020

Colombian guy living in Madrid, Spain for more than 15 years. I enjoy reading Russian literature, drawing, drinking beers (especially an Ale), and rambling about philosophy, Aesthetics, space, or science curiosities. As an Ikigai practicing I like to find purpose and value in the stuff I make, as a designer I strongly believe in the power of design to change people's lives. My superpower is to easily remember every single face, even if I just saw it for a few minutes in the subway or street.

Julia Portu | Graphic Designer

> At Frontiers since 2022

Holi! I’m Juli. Originally from Argentina, now based in Madrid. I grew up in front of a screen, watching cartoons, anime, and playing The Sims. I’m super into illustrations, animation, shapes, sugar, and bright hues. Also, I can relate everyday life aspects to one of The Simpson’s episodes. My mind accumulates silly useless information such as radio jingles and the complete Pokerap.

Laura Cabello | Graphic Designer

> At Frontiers since 2022

Hi, I'm Lora Hair, funny, right? My bald brother doesn't think so. You might remember me from "Vegetarian working for Burger King", "Ecologist designing for Pampers", or the well-known "Feminist follows Emirate Airline's guidelines". Today, I'm presenting my most genuine masterpiece: "Creative mind finally finds its purpose helping science become the big thing".

Marina Mariano | Graphic Designer

> At Frontiers since 2021

a.k.a. the unstoppable mutant. Sardinian at heart, I moved across six different cities, studied in four universities, and changed from journalism to fashion to science. I also loved to draw frothy swans and snowmen on coffees and then decided I could make something from it.

When not designing, you'll find me capturing the world through the lenses of my film camera, making endless checklists, or – most probably – eating. I once got into a fight over the perfect Carbonara recipe while munching sushi.

Michael Handschin | Motion Designer

> At Frontiers since 2018

Fuelled by matcha lattes and specialty hipster coffees, I consider myself to be quite the positive, optimistic person – or perhaps it’s just the caffeine talking. Having a background in Video Production and Journalism, I feel the most ‘in the zone’ when I am telling stories, whether it’d be through filmmaking, animation, writing, or even music. Creative work aside, I spend half my time getting in shape, and the other half, ordering Mcdonalds on UberEats.

Simone Klein | Product Designer

> At Frontiers since 2022

I moved from South Africa to London, now in Madrid. Graphic designer turned product designer. I love typography, color, shapes, patterns, and layout. I’m obsessive about the details. Reader, doodler, observer, word-chooser. Happiest in water: swimming pool, river, reservoir, lake, or ocean. I like dogs, bicycles, trees, park walks and walks in the park with dogs.
